Welcome to SFYFL

Welcome to the start of the Spring-Ford Youth Tackle Football 2017 Season.  This is officially our 10th season.   I’m sure by now most of your kids have received their equipment and are ready and excited to get going.  I saw many pictures on Facebook of our players trying on their equipment when they got home.  For the few left we will do our best to get your player fitted by the start of the season.  The dates below are for tackle football only. Both our Cheer Director and Flag Commissioner, if they haven’t already, will be sending out emails providing similar detail regarding both cheer and flag.  All our practices will be held at our complex located at the Spring-Ford Intermediate School (5,6,7 Center) unless otherwise noted during the season.  Same place you picked up the equipment.

Volunteer Workouts

8/9 – Tackle Football (Helmets only)   6:30 pm to 7:30 pm

8/10 – Tackle Football (Helmets only)  6:3 0 pm to 7:30 pm

Practice Begins

8/14 & 8/15 – Tackle Football.  Helmets and Shoulder Pads –  6:00 pm to 7:30 pm

8/16 & 8/17 – Tackle Football.  Full Pads –  6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Practices after that will be Mon, Tues, Wed and Thurs Full Pads – 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

(unless otherwise noted)

**Once school starts practice will be Mon, Wed and Thurs – 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

(unless otherwise noted)

Our goal is to have teams in place by the end of the 1st week of practice but that may slide a bit do to vacation schedules.  Please if your player misses the 1st few practices due to vacations don’t be concerned he will be brought up to speed when he returns.  There will be emails throughout the season keeping everyone informed of any and all activities.

There will be a mandatory parent meeting scheduled in August held at our complex on the game field; one if not both parents need to attend. We will be reviewing many aspects of the upcoming season as well as discussing events like Ram Bowl and the Pep Rally.  Again this is a mandatory meeting for all parents.

Please work hard and sell those raffle tickets, all the money earned from ticket sales goes towards making our complex better.  Our ultimate goal is to install permanent lights along the practice field instead of spending $9 thousand per year renting portable lights.

We are looking forward to another fun, exciting and successful season.

Thank You
