Registration for the Spring-Ford Youth Football & Cheerleading program is now open! Click Here.

For the past 10 years, the Spring-Ford Youth Football League (SFYL) has been a premier youth football and cheerleading organization in the Spring-Ford Area School District. The program provides Flag and Tackle football programs for boys ages K – 6th Grade and Cheerleading programs for girls K – 7thGrade.

We are a proud member of the Inter County Football League (ICFL) and USA Football. Other ICFL members include Boyertown Bears, Coventry Wildcats, Perkiomen Valley Vikings, Pottsgrove Falcons, Norristown Youth Eagles, North Penn Squires, Pottsgrove Falcons, Pottstown Trojans Upper Perkiomen Mohawks and Phoenixville Phantoms. The ICFL is a grade based league that offers a more natural progression and development for today’s youth football players. The Grade-Based format better aligns our teams with the national trends and creates a true feeder program to the Spring-Ford Middle Schools and High School.

The SFYL program provides our young athletes with a direct connection and positive relationship with the middle and high school sports programs, players and coaches. This approach has proven to be a crucial factor in successful youth athletics across the state.  Youth participants will also learn to serve as leaders both on and off the field as they bring a sense of pride to their community. And, players, cheerleaders and parents are able to participate in many activities such as a Pep Rally, Ram Bowl, and Youth Night at the local High School during the season.

Our coaches have attended coaching clinics, are USA Football Heads Up Certified and teach the game in a positive manner. Coaches focus on the basic fundamentals, safety and rules of football while creating a confident and winning attitude in every aspect of the organization. Players will not only learnhow to play the game the correct way, but how to be competitive while displaying good sportsmanship, and above all else, making sure they have FUN playing.

Practices begin in August. We have a three day a week practice schedule once school begins. Those days include MondayWednesday, and Thursday.  Our home games are held behind the Spring-Ford 5th/6th/7th Grade Center. Home and away games are usually held on Saturday’s.

The Spring-Ford Youth Football & Cheerleading program is a nonprofit organization with a current enrollment of over 500 boys & girls and their familiesThe Rams have always been and always will be an all-volunteer, community based organization with the purpose of providing our members with the best possible youth sports experience.
